Daily Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Chongqing

You can get to Chongqing by train or by air from your city. When you arrive in Chongqing, your guide will greet you and take you to the hotel. You can arrange the rest of the day by yourself.

Day 2: Chongqing Tour: Three Gorges Museum, Porcelain Village, and Hongya Cave

In the morning, you will visit the Three Gorges Museum, also known as the Chongqing Museum. It is located in Yuzhong District, Chongqing and is opposite to Chongqing People’s Auditorium. It is one of the first national-level museums jointly built by the central and local governments of China.

After lunch, you will go to the Porcelain Village – Ciqi Kou. It is a famous historical and cultural street in China. It is also is key protection of the traditional street of Chongqing. And, you can buy some special souvenirs and eat some famous snacks here.

In the evening, you will go to the Hongya Cave, one of the gates of ancient Chongqing. At here, you can not only enjoy the charming night view of Jialing River Bridge but also eat local delicious food, such as hot pot.

Day 3: Chongqing Dazu Rock Carvings Tour

Today, you will have a one-day tour of Dazu Rock Carvings. It is a world cultural heritage and one of the eight great grottoes in the world. It is also a national key cultural relic protection units, one of ten cultural symbols of Chongqing.

You will spend the night in Chongqing.

Day 4: Flight to Lhasa, Tibet

Today, you will take a morning flight from Chongqing to Lhasa. It will take about 3 hours. When you arrive at Lhasa Gonggar International Airport, your guide will greet you and take you to the hotel. You’d better have a good rest in the hotel to adapt to the high altitude of Lhasa.

Day 5: Lhasa Tour: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street

Today, you will visit three attractions in Lhasa, namely Potala Place, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street.

In the morning, you will visit the Potala Palace, the highest palace in the world. Most of the tourists who travel to Tibet will visit Potala Palace.

After lunch, you will visit the Jokhang Temple, one of the holiest site of Tibetan Buddhism. Around the temple is Barkhor Street, a business street. At here, you can experience the folk culture of Tibet better and buy all kinds of souvenirs.

You will the night in Lhasa.

Day 6: Lhasa Tour: Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

In the morning, you will visit Drepung Monastery, founded in 1416 by Jamyang Choge. It is the largest monastery of Tibetan Buddhism in Tibet.

After lunch, you will visit Sera Monastery, one of the great three monasteries of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It is famous for its monks’ debate around 3 pm to 4 pm every day.

You will the night in Lhasa.

Day 7: Departure from Lhasa

Today, you will end your Tibet tour and go to the next destination.
